If there's only 7 teams (existing plus fire) then it's not too much trouble as there's simply one bye per week along with the three games. If there is actually eight teams........f*** knows! I'm pretty sure the league can't handle running two fields on the same days though (due to lack of refs and other support, plus cost of painting each fortnight). So would either have to squeeze another game in - tough when the existing day runs for about 12 hours already - or have one or two games on Fri/Sun. Or have juniors one day and seniors the next. That'd suck as the juniors and seniors wouldn't see each others games.

Some of the juniors might rely on parents etc for driving them to the ground, especially the ones coming from further away.

I think the idea JR mentioned about having the juniors on another field, or at least for one overlapping game, is probably the most realistic. Pretty sure that was the plan last year when there was supposed to be a second division that would've caused the same issues.

It's great for getting your car broken into..........

The ground and stands were great though, just need to get some food and drinks sorted out - though Mirko and the LukeyRolls were doing a good job at the end of the season.

I'm up for friday night games.. those who have played for a while - most of us loved Friday night games as it gave you a free weekend... or played at the same time as long as we have enough refs etc.
Playing Sat and Sunday is a really bad idea.. Dont forget those who are in a senior team and also help out at the Jnr level.. so those that do, would have both days taken up with no time off.. stuff that, that would just make me quit one or the other..

I work Frid nights - and I already gave up Sat nights to do Sat games. I can't miss both of my best nights for work.

Skett I have mentioned to J.R. that I would be happy to look in to running the food this year...I was thinking of sorting something out for the July 4th game and seeing how I go from there. I dont know if I would enjoy missing out on watching the games though, this would be my only negative in doing it!

I think you mean you'd miss out on getting drunk in the stands don't you Jo? :)
That'd be great though, maybe good if we could organise a larger crew to share the workload then you'd get to enjoy some of the games. Guess we'll be needing a new videographer though :(

Yeah, i would probably need at least one extra set of hands but there are things that could be prepped the night before which would only mean cooking sausages etc. on the day which would make things a lot easier.

I dont get drunk in the stands Skett! You must have me confused with somebody else hahaha The only other issue, as you mentioned, would be the filming of the games...we would just have rope other wags to help out possibly...
